Hi, I’m Alex and I’m an avid reader. That was pretty obvious, wasn’t it? I’m from Ontario, Canada and I am an LGBTQIA+ reviewer. I love indie books and small presses, and do my best to highlight them over books from large publishers.
I love diverse stories and queer rep in books. Some genres that I love are Fantasy, Science Fiction, Horror, Cozy Mystery, Historical, and Contemporary, and Romance. I love spooky books, as well as light and fluffy books. I have a list of tropes and themes that I enjoy and don’t enjoy in books. So, to help you get to know me a bit more I will list some of them here.
My Literary Wheelhouse (reoccurring tropes, themes, settings, etc. I enjoy):
- Queer Relationships
- WLW in horror
- Spooky settings
- Morally grey characters
- Characters exploring their identity
- Monster Horror
- Dark/Creepy/Morbid vibes
- Group/Pair of characters on a quest who have tension/dislike each other
- MCs that are experts in a topic (from studying/learning/experience)
- Restaurants in space
- Murderous Fairytale creatures
- Murderous vampires
If you appreciate the work I do and the reviews I post, consider buying me a coffee!
